Reseller RMA Policy

Reseller RMA Policy
  1. RMA request can be obtained only via online. No verbal RMA will be issued.
  2. A RMA# will be issued within 4 business days via email.
  3. The RMA# issued is valid for 15 business days. If the returned product is not received within 15 days, the RMA# will be voided and a new RMA# is required.
  4. All returns require a RMA number, which must be prominently displayed on the box. Packages without a RMA# will be returned unprocessed.
  5. All warranties are VOID on visibly damaged, altered products or improperly packaged products
  6. Products cannot be returned for refund or credit unless otherwise specified on the invoice.
  7. Products can only be returned for replacement. Customer pays the freight for returning the product and Bason pays the shipping charge for the replacement.
  8. If customer insists on return products for store credit, then needs management approval. The amount of credit issued is based on current selling price of the product.
  9. Return of products due to order cancellation is subject to restocking fee of up to 25%.
  10. For replacement products, if the product is not in stock, Bason reserves the right to replace the defective product with another product of a different brand having similar technical specification.
  11. All Products carry one year warranty unless otherwise specified on the invoice.
  12. All Tape Medias have lifetime warranty from manufacturer, no warranty from Bason.
  13. All Tape Drives, both internal and external carries 30 days warranty from Bason.  We provide low cost repairs.  Please call for quote.
  14. The warranty period for your replacement drive is the remainder of the original drive warranty.
  15. All advanced replacement transactions need to be approved by management.
  16. All returns must follow our Return Shipping Instructions.

Return Shipping Instruction
  • External Drive/Library - return the item and all accessories included with original purchase (cable, key, terminator, power cord, power supply, etc.)
  • Bare drives - return drive only.  Do not include any partsn not purchased from Bason
  • Bason is not liable for any items received other than the item to be returned.
  • The bare hard drive must be returned inside an ANTI-STATIC bag, packed in a box with foam surrounding the drive. Use the original box to ship the external drives. Multiple drives must have separators to prevent the drives from touching. Failure to meet these packaging requirements may result with a Voided Warranty.
  • Bason-approved packaging may be purchased from Bason at a minimal cost.

Packing Slip:

  • Include a packing slip with the drive. This should include your name, address, daytime telephone number, our RMA#, model number(s), and serial number(s).

Method of Shipment:

Please ship your return drive via a traceable company which can provide you with a proof of delivery if necessary (i.e. Airborne Express, DHL, Fedex, or UPS)
